Will Face ID Still Work After a Screen Replacement?
Yes - if the repair is done correctly. The iPhone 11 Pro's Face ID depends on the TrueDepth camera module, and that module is paired to your specific phone at the factory. It is not part of the replacement screen. A correct repair transfers your original module across to the new panel.
This matters more than any other detail on this page, because the damage is permanent. If the TrueDepth flex cable is torn or the module is swapped for another unit during a screen job, Face ID cannot be restored - not by us, not by Apple, not by a software fix. The phone keeps working; Face ID simply never comes back.
It is also the reason a cheaper screen quote can end up costing more. Ask any repair shop these three questions before you hand the phone over: will my original TrueDepth module be transferred, will you test Face ID before returning the phone, and what happens if Face ID fails after the repair. We transfer the module on every screen job and test Face ID as part of the function check.
iPhone 11 Pro Battery Health: When to Replace
The iPhone 11 Pro launched in September 2019. Most are still on their original battery, well past the 500 full charge cycles Apple rates the cell for, which is why battery complaints are the most common reason this model comes in.
Check yours in Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging. Apple treats a battery as consumed at 80% maximum capacity, and below that iOS may begin managing performance to prevent unexpected shutdowns - the phone gets slower to stay alive.
Replace sooner than 80% if you see any of these, because they matter more than the percentage: the phone shuts down suddenly while the charge still reads 20-40%, the battery percentage drops in jumps rather than steadily, the back feels hot during light use, or the screen or frame has started to lift at an edge. That last one means the cell is swelling and should be replaced immediately.
Repair or Replace a 2019 iPhone?
An honest answer, because it is not always worth fixing. A single fault on an otherwise sound iPhone 11 Pro is almost always worth repairing - a battery or screen costs a fraction of a replacement handset and returns the phone to normal use.
