Why Does My iPad Shut Down at 30% Battery?
If your iPad shuts down at 30% charge, the battery has failed - not the software. Repeated charge cycles, heat exposure, and age degrade lithium-ion cells over time, causing inconsistent power delivery even when the screen still shows a significant charge remaining.
It's a hardware issue. A software reset will not fix it. The battery needs replacing.

How to Check Your iPad Battery Health (Before You Visit)
Unlike iPhone, most iPads never show a Battery Health screen at all. Here is exactly what your model can and cannot tell you:
Open Settings on your iPad
Tap Battery, then tap Battery Health
Check Maximum Capacity and Cycle Count

Important - only four iPad families have this screen. Apple limits Battery Health to iPad Pro (M4 and M5), iPad Air (M2, M3 and M4), iPad mini (A17 Pro) and iPad (A16). Every older iPad - including all earlier iPad Pro and Air models - has no Battery Health screen in any version of iPadOS, so there is no way to read Maximum Capacity yourself.

Why Dubai's Heat Damages iPad Batteries Faster
Apple designs iPad for use where the ambient temperature is between 0°C and 35°C, and states plainly that "using an iOS or iPadOS device in very hot conditions can permanently shorten battery life" (Apple Support). Dubai's summer routinely runs past 45°C outdoors, and Apple specifically warns against leaving a device in a parked car, where temperatures exceed even its -20°C to 45°C storage range.
That matters because Apple rates iPad batteries to keep 80% of original capacity at 1,000 complete charge cycles (Apple Support) - a figure measured under normal conditions, not a Dubai summer. Sustained heat ages the cell chemically on top of that cycle count, which is why a Dubai iPad often needs a battery well before it reaches 1,000 cycles.
